Laarni San Juan is a nurse, bestselling author, community champion, and digital marketer. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing with cum laude honors from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Public Health from UCLA.

Laarni grew up in an immigrant household where she often heard stories of her father’s journey to the United States in the 1920s full of struggle and hardship. Her humble upbringing and personal understanding of impoverished communities led her to a career as a Public Health Nurse the past 31 years.

She innately understands and appreciates the meaning of hard work and perseverance in order to make change happen.

Laarni takes deep pride and appreciation as a nurse when serving at-risk families whether in home settings, schools, or homeless shelters.

Her clinical knowledge in helping families understand their health combined with her passion for advancing the community’s health has fueled her love of helping, teaching, and role modeling.

Laarni taught parenting classes as a certified instructor helping caretakers strengthen their parenting skills for over a decade.

She was also instrumental in launching a Filipino Mental Health Initiative in 2004 which exists today to continue awareness of the often-stigmatized topic in the community.

Outside of work, she trailblazes quietly and is often behind the scenes making a difference. She avidly mentors students seeking school and career guidance, speaks at school forums, and generously helps individuals with resumes and job seeking skills.

Laarni believes possessing basic communication, relationship, and life skills are critical to obtaining goals.

Laarni has participated on numerous platforms advocating for mental health, self-care, and community issues including domestic violence prevention.

She was a founding board member of the Filipina Womens Network which started as a local group strengthening the image of the Filipina woman leader and has grown internationally since 2000.

As a nurse labor rep, she continuously advocates for her colleagues and labor peers to do what is right for patients and workers. Laarni has spoken up to save local hospitals, presented on the steps of Congress in Washington DC for union rights, and regularly participates in roundtables discussing the nurse role and safe practice.

Even with her extensive participation on boards, commissions, and winning awards, she remains grounded and reminds herself of her humble beginnings. She puts her family first and has deep gratitude for her support system.

She believes that her own struggles, failures, and disappointments throughout her journey have taught her the beauty of resilience. She believes that one can achieve anything with the right mindset, right mentors, and the will to win.

She has proven her beliefs by being a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, co-authoring four books, visiting the White House eight times, having lunch in the East Wing, doing social media educational campaigns for shingles awareness (she experienced the illness in 2021) and dancing on stage with Shaquille ‘O Neal at a business event.

Laarni has transitioned her focus in recent years as a digital marketer/affiliate marketer, inviting go-getters to learn how one can generate 4, 5, 6, 7 figures online with no prior experience and without having own products.

Laarni is a natural helper and finds joy in seeing others go for what their hearts desire.

Laarni has come a long way as a shy young girl to a 50-something who continues to pave the way to show what is possible.
